NICK MATHER | Founder & Managing Director

Nick Mather is Founder, CEO & MD of DGR Global and has been involved in the junior resource sector at all levels for 40+ years. During this time Nick has been instrumental in the delivery of major resource projects that have provided +$6.9 Billion cash in shareholder returns. Nick brings a wealth of valuable experience to the Board. His special area of expertise being the generation of undervalued resource exploration opportunities.

Nick was paramount in the founding of SolGold Plc as a global porphyry copper gold explorer. He was company’s longest-serving CEO and lead the company from 2013 - 2021.  He then served as a NED until SolGold was acquired by Jiangxi Copper Corporation for $1.17B in May 2026. Nick was Arrow Energy Ltd co-founder; serving as Executive Director until his 2004 resignation. In 2010 Arrow was subsequently acquired by Shell & PetroChina for ~$3.5 Billion. Nick also co-founded and was a NED of Bow Energy Ltd until its Arrow Energy ~$550M takeover in 2012.  In addition Nick was Founder and Chair of TSX-V listed Waratah Coal Inc until it’s 2009 $130M acquisition by Minerology Pty Ltd.  He was a NED of Ballarat Goldfields NL until 2004 when the company was taken over by Lihir Gold Ltd for ~$500M. He was MD of BeMax Resources and headed the company’s 1998 discovery of its Murray Basin mineral sands project, BeMax sold to Cristal in 2003 for $350M following a regional exploration push by Nick and his geological team.  Nick was also MD of Auralia Resources NL, until its 1995 $23M merger with Ross Mining NL and project generator and vendor of Northern Energy which sold to New Hope in 2011 for $250M.

 

BRIAN MOLLER | Non-Executive Director & Chair

Brian Moller is a corporate partner in the Brisbane based law firm Hopgood Ganim. Brian was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and has been a partner since 1983. and practices almost exclusively in the corporate area with an emphasis on capital raising, mergers and acquisitions.

Brian holds an LLB Hons from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association. Brian acts for many public listed resource and industrial companies and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the board particularly in the corporate regulatory and governance areas. Formerly, he was Chair of LSE and TSX listed SolGold plc and is the Chair of ASX listed Clara Resources Australia Ltd,(ASX: C7A) Platina Resources Ltd and Tempest Minerals Ltd and a Non Executive Director of ASX listed NewPeak Metals Ltd .

 

BEN HASSELL | Non-Executive Director

Ben Hassell holds a Business Degree (Acc) and is a Chartered Accountant. Ben brings 20 years of in-depth corporate experience to the Board having worked in a broad cross-section of industry, including listed and non-listed companies. He also has extensive experience working with private discretionary trusts, SMSFs and Private Ancillary Funds.

Importantly, Ben has worked at all levels - operational, management and executive level - and has an excellent understanding of business at all phases of its development. He has extensive experience in Debt and Equity Funding, Stakeholder Management and Regulatory Compliance. Currently, Ben holds the position of Group General Manager of the Samuel Group of Companies, a Brisbane based Investment and Consultancy Group directing and managing a diverse portfolio including cattle stations, listed mineral resource companies, rural and residential Real Estate and philanthropic services.

GEOFF WALKER

COMPANY SECRETARY AND CFO

Geoff Walker is a chartered accountant and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Geoff has 30+ years of commercial experience including as Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed Eagers Automotive Limited (APE), Range International Limited (RAN) and Kina Petroleum Limited (KPE). Geoff brings extensive experience formulating and executing strategic initiatives while managing change and growth.

 

JOHN BIERLING

GENERAL MANAGER

John Bierling has extensive operations management and resources management expertise and experience and is the leader of the DGR Global exploration team. John has over 9 years experience in the operations field and 25 years experience in the commodities field working with a range of junior and mid-cap resource companies as well as with several global resource companies. In addition, John has over 15 years’ direct experience in farming and agriculture.

 
 

BENN WHISTLER

TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER

Benn Whistler brings extensive technical and operational drilling expertise to DGR Global, having previously served as Technical Services Manager at SolGold Plc where he oversaw exploration drill programmes. Benn now applies that operational experience to support DGR Global's copper and gold exploration projects across its portfolio.
