Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Appointed on 26 November 2009, Mr. Stubbs is a lawyer of 35 years experience and has previously worked with DGR Global CEO Nick Mather on the boards of numerous emerging globally significant resource companies. He is the co-founder of the legal firm Stubbs Barbeler and has practiced extensively in the area of Commercial Law including Stock Exchange listings and all areas of mining law.
Mr. Stubbs has held the position of director of various public companies over the past 25 years in the mineral exploration and biotech fields. He is also the former Chairman of Alchemia Limited, and Bemax Resources N.L which discovered and developed extensive mineral sands resources in the Murray Basin. He was the founding Chairman of Arrow Energy NL which originally pioneered coal seam gas development in Queensland’s Bowen and Surat Basins from 1998, and is now a world-wide coal seam gas company. He is also a former Non-Executive Director of Coalbank Limited. Mr. Stubbs currently acts as the Non-Executive Chairman of DGR Global Limited, he also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Armour Energy.
Founder and Managing Director
Mr. Mather was appointed in 2001 and is the Founder, Managing Director and CEO of DGR Global. Nick’s special area of experience and expertise is the generation of and entry into undervalued or unrecognised resource exploration opportunities.
He has been involved in the junior resource sector at all levels for more than 30 years. In that time he has been instrumental in the delivery of major resource projects that have delivered over $5.7 billion in shareholder return.
As an investor, securing projects and financiers, leading exploration campaigns and managing emerging resource companies Mr. Mather brings a wealth of valuable experience to the board of DGR Global Limited.
Mr. Mather was co-founder of Arrow Energy NL, was responsible for the generation of its Surat Basin Coal Bed Methane project and served as an Executive Director until 2004.
Arrow Energy was acquired in 2010 by Shell and PetroChina, for a value of approximately $3.5 billion. He was also founder and Chairman of Waratah Coal Inc. until it was acquired in December 2008 and co-founder and Non-Executive Director of Bow Energy Limited until its recent takeover by Arrow Energy Pty Ltd in January 2012 for approximately $550 million.
Previously as CEO of BeMax Resources NL he headed the discovery of the company’s Pooncarie mineral sands project in 1998. He has also been a Non-Executive Director of Ballarat Goldfields, having assisted with the recapitalisation of the company in 2002.
Mr. Mather is the Chief Executive Officer of SolGold plc (LSE & TSX:SOLG), Executive Chairman of Armour Energy (ASX:AJQ) and Non-Executive Director of IronRidge Resources Ltd (AIM: IRR), Dark Horse Resources (ASX:DHR), Aus Tin Mining Ltd (ASX:ANW) and all DGR Global spin outs.
Mr. Moller is a corporate partner in the Brisbane based law firm Hopgood Ganim where he has been a partner since 1983. He practices almost exclusively in the corporate area with an emphasis on capital raising, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Moller acts for many public listed resource and industrial companies and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the board particularly in the corporate regulatory and governance areas.
He is a former Chairman of Gold Aura Limited, a Queensland based ASX listed company. He holds an LLB Hons from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association. Mr. Moller is currently non-executive director of SolGold plc (LSE & TSX:SOLG); Chairman for Aus Tin Mining Ltd (ASX:ANW) and Non-Executive Director for Dark Horse Resources Ltd (ASX:DHR).
Vincent is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IronRidge Resouces. Vincent is a mining engineer with over 25-years extensive experience across the civil, construction and mining industries in a variety of fields including gold and coal mining and quarrying. Vincent has diverse expertise in large scale infrastructure projects. He has been actively involved with project management, engineering, quality control and environment and safety management.
Vincent has held Directorships for various public companies over the past fourteen years. He has been primarily responsible for a number of new developments for IronRidge Resources including new partnerships and project expansions for the company. Vincent was instrumental in the raising of £9.7m for admission to AIM on 12 February 2015. He secured two cornerstone investors; Sumitomo Corporation and Assore Limited. He also resides on the board of ASX-listed resource genertion company; DGR Global Limited.
His efforts have received MBA Merit Awards for Excellence in Engineering, Construction, Environmental, and Public Private Partnerships. Vincent is a member of both the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Institute of Engineers of Australia.
Ben Cleary is a Portfolio Manager for Tribeca Investment Partners and is based in Singapore. Tribeca Global Natural Resources run by Ben, was the best performing hedge fund globally in 2016 and has been actively involved in the metals and mining, energy and soft commodities sectors from a project finance perspective, including the arrangements with DGR Global. Tribeca was founded in 1998 in Sydney and currently manages around $3 billion. Prior to founding the Tribeca Global Natural Resources Fund, Ben was a financial and commodity analyst for investment banks Macquarie Bank and the Royal Bank of Canada and was based in Asia, London and Sydney.
Ben has travelled extensively throughout Asia, Africa and the Americas assessing mining projects from an investment perspective and maintains relationships with financiers, trading houses, government officials and corporates. He will leverage these relationships to help DGR Global maximise the potential returns from their current and future investments. Ben is a graduate of the Australian Institute of company Directors, holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, and a Masters of Applied Finance from FINSIA.
Mr. Runge has more than thirty years experience in the Australian minerals industry, principally in senior management of industrial minerals businesses. He was Managing Director of Australia’s largest diversified lime and limestone company, David Mitchell Limited prior to the successful unsolicited takeover by Unimin in 2003.
Mr. Runge has served as President of the National Lime Association (1993-95), a member of Standards Australia Committee BD 27 – Lime (1993-96) and represented Australia on the Executive Committee of the International Lime Association.
Mr. Runge holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mining (University of Queensland), and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at the Australian Management College, Mt. Eliza and the AICD Company Director Diploma Course.
Mr. Schlobohm is a Chartered Accountant with 25 years experience across a wide range of industries and businesses and as a result brings a unique range of skills to DGR Global, including expertise in Corporate Governance, Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance and Corporate Taxation matters.
Mr. Schlobohm holds Undergraduate Degrees in Commerce and Economics, together with a Masters Degree in Taxation. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Mr. Schlobohm has previously held contract positions as Company Secretary of the ASX listed Linc Energy Limited, Agenix Limited, Discovery Metals Limited and Global Seafood Limited. He has also acted as CFO for Discovery Metals Limited and Meridian Minerals Limited.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Priy Jayasuriya is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience in public practice and has a broad knowledge over a number of industries. Mr. Jayasuriya has worked as a chartered accountant in Australia, Singapore and the United States of America and brings a range of expertise in the areas of due diligence, internal control, corporate governance, international financial reporting and statutory compliance.
Mr. Jayasuriya commenced his career with Ernst & Young and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Mr. Jayasuriya has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a strong background in financial management and reporting.
Business Development & Investor Relations
Pru has worked in resources for ASX listed Juniors since 2010 with experience in IPO’s, Capital Raisings and Takeovers both in Australia and South America. Pru manages the Business Development and Investor Relations functions for the DGR Group of companies.
Group Financial Controller
Matt Cave has been working for DGR Global since 2007 and is the financial controller for the group. Prior to working at DGR, Matt’s career covered roles in banking and tax. He has completed his CPA and holds a bachelors degree in business majoring in accounting.
Principal Exploration Geologist
Russell Dow has worked as an exploration geologist for 18 years throughout Australia, Southeast Asia and the Americas. Russell manages the …. For the group and holds holds a BSc(Hons) in Geology from the University of Western Australia, a MSc in Economic Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA and is a Member of the AusIMM and Society of Economic Geologists.
Operations Manager and SSE
John Bierling has extensive operations management and resources management expertise and experience and is the leader of the DGR Global exploration team. John has over 9 years experience tin the operations field and and 25 years experience in the commodities field working with a range of junior and mid-cap resource companies as well as with several of Australia’s leading resource companies. In addition, John has over 15 years’ direct experience in farming and agriculture.
Marketing and Communications Manager
Sarah Schuiringa has nine years’ experience in the Marketing and Communications industry; spanning the tourism, education and arts sectors. She holds a bachelors degree in business with majors in marketing and advertising. Sarah manages the marketing and communications activity for the DGR group of companies.
